Founded in 1876, Prairie View A&M University is the second oldest institution of higher education in Texas.
With an established reputation for producing engineers, nurses and educators, PVAMU offers baccalaureate
degrees in 39 academic majors, 31 master's degrees and four doctoral degree programs through nine colleges
and schools. A member of the Texas A&M University System, the University is dedicated to fulfilling its

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) prepares students for leadership roles in their chosen

Texas A&M - Galveston offers ocean-oriented, four-year courses with excellence in business,
oceanographic/physical sciences, biological sciences, engineering and transportation. Computer science
and technical writing courses are taught across curricula, regardless of a student's major field. In
every course each semester, formally administered questionnaires invite students to appraise the
effectiveness of teaching. Several unique courses have been developed in response to the University's
marine orientation.

West Texas A&M University (WTAMU), rich in history that dates to 1910, is the northernmost senior
institution of higher learning in Texas. As the only bachelor's and master's degree-granting state
university within a 100-mile radius, WTAMU's primary service region extends beyond the Texas borders
into the neighboring states of Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Oklahoma. The University offers 1
doctoral program, 42 master's programs and 61 undergraduate degree programs within a four college,
